I Dream Of A Bluebird (Spirits Talking To Me?)

Image
Yesterday was pretty interesting day for me, as my twin and I went out to our local library as he was set to do his duty being a librarian. Thankfully, the day felt so much cooler than it has been for most of the week. But something happened during my time there at the Library, something that completely got me off guard and for some reason I decided to write about it here on my blog. You see, I was just simply hanging around while Chad was taking care of some stuff when I walked by the puzzle boxes and I noticed a bluebird on the cover of one of them. And then I just decided to hope onto a computer there and typed in bluebird. Boy was I in for a surprise! What came up when I searched bluebird was how it symbolizes as a positive omen including things like happiness, hope and renewal. It also told me about how I should appreciate the beauty of nature, find joy in the present moment as well as telling me to trust in the journey. It even mentions about being optimistic and contentment...

All That (Comedy Show)

Image
One of things that has made me proud to be a 90s kid was the sketch comedy show called All That which originally aired on Nickelodeon as a TV special sneak peak in 1994 before officially making its debut in 1995. The original series went from 1995 to 2005 before being showdown but years later, an attempt at a revival was made to bring All That back to the masses, but sadly, was once again canceled and has yet to make another comeback. This show featured some amazing talent throughout its run, people like Josh Server, Kenan Thomspson, Lori Beth Denberg, Kel Mitchell, Amanda Bynes, Jamie Lynn Spears, Gabriel Iglesias, Alisa Reyes, Danny Tamberelli and many more. In fact, one of the things that really made me enjoy about the show, was with how All That became a place to where it helped create several spin-off shows. I dare say that this show really contributed to the growth of Nickelodeon as a whole. The Amanda Show, Kenan & Kel and The Nick Cannon Show all of which then send out...

The Triptych (Demon Hunter Album) 20 Years Later

Image
It is crazy to think that this album came out 20 years ago and in my humble opinion one of their best albums that they had ever done which is The Triptych from the Christian Metal Band Demon Hunter. Back in October of 2005, The Triptych hit the stores and had sold over 6,000 copies and was also re-released in October of 2006. At the time, Demon Hunter featured Ryan Clark on vocals, brother Don Clark on rhythm guitars, Ethan Luck on lead guitar, Jon Dunn on bass guitar, Yogi Watts on drums. Track List The Flame That Guides Us Home Not I Undying Relentless Intolerance Deteriorate The Soldier's Song Fire To My Soul One Thousand Apologies The Science Of Lies Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck (Prong Cover) Ribcage The Tide Began To Rise I LOVE this album! I mean when I first heard about them and found albums of theirs at the Friendship Bookstore. Just nonstop jamming from the first song all the way to the end of it. Ryan's vocals were superb, the drums by Yogi were incredible as we...

Las Vegas Raiders Celebrates 65 Years Of Football!

Image
Well to say that this team has a colorful history will be putting it mildly. The "Bad Boys" of the NFL will be celebrating their 65th year as a professional football team this coming season.  Although they are now the Las Vegas Raiders, they were originally founded in Oakland, Ca back in 1960 in another football league called the AFL (American Football League). Interesting fact that I learned about the Raiders what that they were originally plan to be called the Senors and were to wear the colors orange and black before going with the name Raiders and switching to the more known silver and black. The first three years the team struggled to get going in large part due to poor performances on the field, financial difficulties and low attendance.  But things began to turn around for the Raiders as they hired Head Coach and eventual owner Al Davis in 1963. Davis owned the team from 1972 till his death in 2011 (Rest In Peace). What is also interesting, Tom Brady owns a piece ...

Dallas Cowboys (65 Years Of A Franchise)!

Image
Well guys and gals, with players heading into training camp, that can only mean one thing. NFL Football is almost here. But this year, one of the teams in the NFL will be celebrating a big year and that is the Dallas Cowboys who are in their 65th year of existence. It is crazy to think that a team like the Cowboys has come from an expansion team, all the way to one of the richest franchises in all of sports. During my research for this blog post, I was quite surprised to see some of the early days about the Cowboys. Especially the struggles, I mean trying to build a football team from the ground up is no easy task. In fact, it took them five years just to get to a .500 record before finally getting a winning record in 1966. One of the contributing factors for the creation and success of the Cowboys was their original owner, Clint Murchison Jr who owned the team from 1960 to 1984. Another is player personnel Gil Brandt, general manager Tex Schramm. And arguably one of the greatest,...

This Is My Family (Poem)

My father, you taught me how to be strong, even during the times where everything feels like it is going wrong. My mother, you always taught me that I can be anything that I wanted to be. And no matter how many times that I was sick or depressed, you were always there to take care of me. Dear brother, you made life so pristine. Even when you moved so far away from us to be with your true love Christine. And together, you two have created a family of your own, with a dog and soon kids of two. And little Lukey and soon Ava, I just hope and pray that you two will always know that you are my sunshine, my little sunshines, you make me happy because I love you. Even when I am deep in depression and feel like a total loser and that I can never win. I just look over and smile because I know that there is someone always there for me and I call him my twin. Through all of the years we've been together and through every season. Being with all of you has been for a reason. People can never cho...

The Wacky Adventures Of Josh And Chad: 2025 Yoder Family Summer Reunion

Well today was another fun trip over to Greenwood park where me, my twin brother Chad along with our mother and father went to our annual Yoder family summer reunion today. Thankfully the weather felt pretty good throughout the day as we traveled over the mountain. It is always cool to see the trees and get to work around the woods. Of course, it is always fun to see my family, like my Uncle Rick, Uncle Ffej, Aunt Carolyn, Aunt Diana, among others. But I got to be perfectly honest with all of you. I'm embarrassed to admit, but I was completely depressed through the whole thing. I just sat there like a total loser, while everyone was laughing and talking about stuff, I just sat there. I really didn't know what to say or do to be honest. Felt like a total loser, I just moved around a little bit, got some food, attempted to talk with some of my family. But I guess, that is what I get for letting depressing bother me throughout the past couple weeks. The truth is things have been ...

Thank You Foxpro Baseball And The CCBL For Another Fun Year Of Baseball!

Image
Well, it is official, the Foxpro Predators have been eliminated from the CCBL playoffs which means I sadly my time with Foxpro baseball is over 😔. But as always, it was such a great time! WOW! It is crazy with how many years it has been since I first started hanging out with the guys of Foxpro Baseball. The team is run by Evan Pupo who when I first met him, we immediately got along. Honestly, we share a great love for baseball, but I really loved his goal with the Foxpro baseball team. He wanted to create opportunities for the younger baseball players to have a place to go during the summer and help them get some extra at-bats. Plus, help support our little community. To be perfectly honest with all of you, I really didn't know what to expect when it came to the CCBL. But I quickly learned how competitive the league was, and I LOVED IT! Many of the athletes that were competing in the league either had or are currently playing at the collegiate level. I got to meet some incredible...

Happy Birthday My Twin! (35 Years)

Image
Well, well, well, 35 years, 35 years since I was brought into this crazy world. But for some of you may or may not know, I was born with another half and he is really the only person on this Earth who can honestly say that he has been with me since day zero. He is my identical twin, Chad. People say everything happens for a reason and or there are certain people who come into your life to help you through things. Which honestly, I completely agree with those sentiments because Chadman has totally been that person who has helped me out so much with a lot of things. Again, it is no secret that I struggle with Cerebral Palsy and Scoliosis. But what many people may not know is that it usually happens when it involves having twins which I just so happen to have a twin. Which leads me to my first point. Thank you God for having my twin brother Chad in my life because, it made me realize that I wasn't alone in my struggles and that there who is always there for me. Which is really nice b...

The Wacky Adventures Of Josh And Chad: Mount Union Alumni Baseball Game!

Well this past Saturday, I got to go do some work for Hometown Sports Magazine as I went over to Mount Union where I got to cover the Mount Union Alumni game. This event was to help the charity called CHAMP which is a group who helps raise funds for those who struggle with medical expenses. I asked my twin brother Chadman to tag along and get to witness some fun baseball, even though he isn't much of a sports guy like myself. Thankfully, he decided to come along. It certainly was a very hot day indeed, I'm sure glad to be able to hide inside the press box during the game. Chad was able to find some shade to sit back and enjoy the game. And it was quite an entertaining game itself! As I worked my way onto the field and into the dugout to introduce myself, I got to witness a lot of history. You see, Mount Union baseball is very big in the small town of Mount Union, Pa. And it was all thanks to one man, Nick Imperioli (Rest In Peace) who tragically passed away this year. Meeting ...

Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure (Anime)

Image
This was such a fun anime to watch when I was growing up as kid. Dual Parallel Trouble Adventure was created by Masaki Kajishima and first launched from April to July of 1999, only 13 episodes made with the exception of the OVA special which was used to close out the series, but nonetheless, I loved this show. The first time I saw this anime was during the days of Tech TV which was what G4 was called before the merger. It was on a late night time slot called Anime Unleashed, needless to say, my twin brother Chad and I spend a lot of time watching this lol. The concept of the show was loosely based on the Multiverse theory where one thing could happen in one universe while another decision was made in another. For example, the plot follows an event that had happened 22 years ago where an alien artifact was found at a construction site by a worker named Yotsuga. He was then ordered to get rid of it and as Yotsuga walks towards the dumpster, the world splits in two where one he throw...

Great American Bash 1990 Sting Defeats Ric Flair 35 Years Later

Image
July of 1990 wasn't just the month and year of my birth, but it was a special moment for one of my personal favorite pro wrestlers of all time! And his name is Sting. After getting his start in wrestling in the mid-80s, the Stinger how found his way to WCW which was one of the biggest wrestling companies of the time. Pretty soon, he was going up against the very best that professional wrestling has to offer. Guys like Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Barry Windham, Terry Funk, Great Muta, Lex Luger, etc. Sting soon became a big time player for WCW in 1988 after his incredible match with Flair at the very first Clash of the Champions show which went to a 45 minute draw and Sting was off to the races after that. Sadly, it had appeared that Sting's chances at a World title were possibly in danger as earlier in the year of 1990, Sting suffered a knee injury. But he continued to work through it and managed to be ready to face Flair. After going nearly twenty minutes, Flair attempted to put...

Happy Times! (Poem)

Where did all of this positive energy come from? I must know! Because something inside of me is stirring and its making me glow. Not that I'm complaining, I am just not use to all of this great energy. It kind of makes me wonder if this is all part of the plan of trying to create a better me. This is all so weird to me, its like I'm on another planet. These days don't happen too often so I must never take them for granite. Though I wish that these days would never end. But when those dark days return, I remind myself to stay strong because those good days will be back again.

Power Rangers: The Movie Video Game (Sega Genesis 1995)

Image
Since I am celebrating 30 years of the Power Rangers movie, I remembered that the film wasn't the only one who was turning 30 this year. Like many movies during my youth a lot of movies would have video games tie-ins to them and this movie was no different. Of course success varies, sometimes they work and sometimes they are not so successful. But, luckily for me, I got to love both! Now to be fair, this game was played on multiple platforms besides the Sega Genesis, like the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, the Game Boy as well as the Game Gear. But I strictly focusing on the Genesis version simply because it was the one that I had played the most. The Genesis version is a side-scrolling beat-em-up game where you play as nine different power rangers throughout the game. (Tommy, Kimberly, Billy, Jason, Zack, Trini, Aisha, Adam and Rocky). You can play up to two players in this game which is always fun because I got to play this game with my brothers. It features six different ...

Liberty's Kids (Television Show)

Image
This show was amazing! Liberty's Kids is an American animated historical fiction show and was produced by DIC Entertainment Corporation and was originally aired on the channel PBS Kids from September of 2002 all the way to April of 2003. The show was created by Kevin O'Donnell and Michael Maliani who also helped develop the show along with Andy Heyward and Robby London. The purpose of the show was to help young viewers of the origin of America. It follows Benjamin Franklin and his four fictional associates, Sarah Philips, James Hiller, Henri Richard Maurice Dutoit LeFevbre and Moses. Liberty's Kids follows this group for 16 years of the American Revolution from the Boston Tea Party, to the ratification of the U.S. Constitution and George Washington becoming the first President in America history in 1789. I loved this show as kid, at time I thought this show had multiple seasons, only to find out that it was such one season when I was researching this show for my blog. There...
