Liberty's Kids (Television Show)

This show was amazing! Liberty's Kids is an American animated historical fiction show and was produced by DIC Entertainment Corporation and was originally aired on the channel PBS Kids from September of 2002 all the way to April of 2003.

The show was created by Kevin O'Donnell and Michael Maliani who also helped develop the show along with Andy Heyward and Robby London.

The purpose of the show was to help young viewers of the origin of America. It follows Benjamin Franklin and his four fictional associates, Sarah Philips, James Hiller, Henri Richard Maurice Dutoit LeFevbre and Moses.

Liberty's Kids follows this group for 16 years of the American Revolution from the Boston Tea Party, to the ratification of the U.S. Constitution and George Washington becoming the first President in America history in 1789.

I loved this show as kid, at time I thought this show had multiple seasons, only to find out that it was such one season when I was researching this show for my blog. There were 40 episodes in all about thirty minutes each through the eyes of these characters.

First, I really loved the theme song of the show called Through My Own Eyes which was so beautifully done that I still listen to it this very day.

I also the different points of view, not just from the main characters, but also the historically figures as well whether it be from the American side, the British side, the French side, the Spanish Army and the Native American point of view.

Being a bit of a history buff myself, it has always been fascinating to me to read about stuff like this. I mean lets face it, none of us were actually there to experience it. I can never imagine what all of these people were going through during this time period. The sacrifice, the dedication, betrayal, the constant in-fighting while trying to form our own nation. It certainly could have not have be easy for anyone involved with the American Revolution.

It truly was a great show to watch! And with that being said, I hope and pray that everyone has a fun and safe Fourth of July this weekend.

Until Next Time!

God Bless and Be Safe Everybody! 🙏🙏🙏
