Street Fighter The Movie (1994)

With a brand new Street Fighter movie out, I wanted to look back on the original live action Street Fighter movie which hit the theaters back in 1994. Starring Jean-Claude Van Damme as Colonel William Guile and Raul Julia (RIP) as the evil M. Bison.

The film also features Ming-Na Wen as Chun Li, Damian Chapa as Ken Masters, Kylie Minogue as Cammy White, Bryon Mann as Ryu, Grand L. Bush as Balrog, Robert Mammone as Carlos "Charlie" Blanka, Gregg Rainwater as Thunder Hawk, Peter Tuiasosopo as E. Honda.

For the Shadaloo Warriors, there is Andrew Bryniarski as Zangief, Miguel A. Nunez Jr as Dee Jay, Jay Tavare as Vega, Wes Studi as Sagat and Roshan Seth as Dhalsim along with some original characters made for the movie.

The plot of the film follows Guile and the others as they attempt to track down M. Bison and his organization who hold several A.N. Relief Workers hostage and demands the world pay 20 billion dollars within three days or he will kill the hostages.

Now, I must say, although the movie was quite successful commercially, many fans and critics did not received it very well. Mainly because the film was very unfaithful to the source material, the campy tone and overblown effects.

I must admit, I have a special place in my heart for this movie. I really did enjoy it, but with that being said, I totally agree from the people that this movie is not really a Street Fighter movie. If it were just a simple B movie not named Street Fighter, I still would have enjoyed it because I usually enjoy watching B movie/ Independent films, etc.

Ultimately though, the thing that keeps me coming back to watching this movie though was the effort put in by Raul Julia who sadly passed away after the making of the film. Even watching it as many times as I have, his performance was incredible and it is even more amazing with everything he was going through health wise. Again, Rest in Peace Julia.

It was a fun little action movie from back in the 90s and I enjoyed seeing it again.

Until Next Time!

God Bless and Be Safe Everybody! 🙏🙏🙏

The Wacky Adventures Of Josh And Chad: McVeytown Fire Company 18

Sometimes the most adventurous days come when you do not expect them and today was certainly one of those days. Chad and I went outside to take care of recycling and Chad had suggested we go check out the brand new Fire House for the McVeytown Fire company.  His boss from Kountry Kitchen, Amanda Boozel, her husband Doug is the Assistant Chief of the McVeytown Fire Company and they invited us to come over and check out the new the building. Of course we decided to go and see it for ourselves. When we arrived, Doug was not there yet, but we were welcomed by Nate Moist and many other members of the fire company and Moist went and gave us a little tour around the building. It was quite beautiful and I am glad to see that they were able to get the building put up. Now, remember when I said that sometimes the adventure can come when you least expect it. Well that came as we had just finished up our little tour, the alarm went off as a fire had broken out.  While Chad and I sto...

Remembering Aunt Jane!

Image
WOW! This blog post has certainly been something special to work on because it was something that I have been wanting to do for my family for some time now and at last, it has been completed. Being in such a large family like mine is, we have gone through a lot together in our lives. Recently we lost my Uncle Rick and Uncle Dave as well as my cousin Brett and my Uncle Rocky before that. Rest In Peace to you all! Miss you greatly! 🙏🙏🙏 So my goal was to help bring back some happy memories for my family! The reason I chose to write this was for one, this year marks 40 years since the tragic death of Aunt Jane. And second, honestly, I never got to know her, so I wanted to help get the family together and learn about her. As you see, she had passed away in 1986 while I was born in 1990. And boy! Did I ever learn a lot about her 😁. The common theme throughout my journey into learning about Aunt Jane was that she was such a kind and gentle soul who cared deeply for her family. Here are so...

The Wacky Adventures Of Josh And Chad: Bingo Night At McVeytown Fire Company!

This past Saturday, Chadman and I decided to check out Bingo Night over at the McVeytown Fire Company building. Chad's friend and member of the Fire company, Doug Boozel had invited us over and so we went in and see how it was going. And it was going quite well when we had arrived tot he building, it was pretty full of people, at least over a 100 people all looking to hit Bingo. This was their first event hosting since the opening of the new Firehouse so I am sure there were plenty of nerves going into it. Can't say I blame though especially trying to raise funds to help keep the company building going and protect those from dangerous fires. There were some raffle ideas being sold a the event one being a Kitchen Aid, another being a Ninja Air Fryer and lastly, a car trailer. There were some cash prizes as well as lottery tickets, purses and wine. Of course, you can not have a Bingo night without some delicious food. There was some chicken, potatoes, vegetables, rolls, applesau...
