Digimon Movie (25 Years Later)
This movie was a huge part of my childhood and it helped make me into a complete nerd and proud of it lol. Being a fan of the Digimon series back in the late 90s was such an incredible experience for me, got to watch the anime, played the video games, played the card game. So when I heard that Digimon was coming out with a movie, of course I jumped on it immediately.
Needless to say, I was not disappointed with it. It is really insane to me how time really flies especially nowadays and realizing that this movie is now 25 years old.
Digimon the Movie came out in October of 2000 and featured four different stories and had characters from both season 1 and season 2.
The first story was called Angela Anaconda Short which follows Angela and her friends who go to a theater to watch the new Digimon.
The next short story is called Eight Year Ago and it features Tai and his little sister Kari prior to the events of the first Digimon season where they actually discover a digi-egg that had appeared on their computer.
Third is called Four Years Later where Izzy and Tai discover a digi-egg on the computer and hatch it, only to realize that it is infected and begins to wreck havoc over the world's computer systems.
Lastly, the final short story in the Digimon movie is the story called Present Day where TK and Kari witness another Digi-Destined named Willis and his Digimon Terriermon battle a corrupted Digimon and soon follow him and give aid to his fight.
I was so blown away by how awesome and amazing the Digimon Movie was a kid. I mean I truly loved the concept of Digimon to begin with, but this film along with the Pokemon movie really took my nerdness up to new levels.
One of my personal favorite things about the movie was its soundtrack. To this very day I still listen to the music from the film. It had great music from the time, such as Smash Mouth, LEN, The Mighty Bosstones, Jason Radford and of course, the late great Paul Gordan (RIP).
Movies like this really helped shape how I saw the world and really inspired me with my writing as well and most importantly, the importance of friendship and helping others to create a safe and beautiful world.
Brings back a lot of happy memories for me, especially dealing with my issues. Movies like this have really reminded me that there is something beautiful in the world even if other people don't understand it. I am just so grateful to have things like Digimon in my life.
Until Next Time!
God Bless and Be Safe Everybody! 🙏🙏🙏
