The Wacky Adventures Of Josh And Chad: Rothrock Fair!

This past weekend was the annual festival we have here in little ole McVeytown. It is called the Rothrock Fair which is a three day event that features fun events, music and some delicious food 😋.

Despite living in a small town, we all try our best to help build up our little community with special events such as the Rothrock Fair.

Unfortunately, I did not get to go on Thursday, but my twin brother Chad and I got to go down on Friday and had ourselves a good time. Although it was hot and humid and issues with my twin's camera, we still went out there and had fun.

As we arrived, we bumped into so many people that we know like the Sunderlands, Lindsay Diven, Kody and Sierra Hassinger, the Feathers and so many more which is really cool to see a bunch of people there.

One of the first stops for me and Chad was checking out the McVeytown Eagles Chicken BBQ meal that included colesaw, rolls, baked beans and a drink. This dinner was being used to help create funds for the youth football team. We ended up heading up to the football field and got to hangout with coach Andrew Moist along with coach Hartman who were out there grilling the chicken. Also thanks to Andrew for helping us out and sent me a photos of them grilling.

Also we got to see Nick Knable and his wife Brooke where I discovered that Brooke has created her own company called Pretty Little Pancakes. So I decided to go and give it a try and I choose to eat the cookies and cream. It was DELICIOUS!

Other great food we had were some pizza before heading home with some funnel cake.

Saturday then rolled around and Chad and I head out for the final day of the three day event. We decided to show up a little later this time around to avoid much of the humid. On a more positive note, we got the camera working this time lol.

Got there just in time before the parade began and snapped a couple photos there. We hangout again with the Sunderlands, but also met with Miss Deb Himes who runs the Rothrock library and also got to meet with David Pecht.

We then went over to see the guys of a rock band called Jaded Lips who are from Altoona. Great people! Also really fun to listen to! Check them out!

Myself and my twin then worked our way over to the ring toss where chad had gotten himself a pretty cool knife before I got my a little knife a while later.

After listening to some great music by Jade Lips, Chad and I took a little walk and headed on home. It was another great night at the Rothrock Fair. Can't wait for next year and hopefully we can continue to build on this special event because I truly believe that things like this can really help grow a community and bring us all closer together. Now more than ever!

Until Next Time!

God Bless and Be Safe Everybody! 🙏🙏🙏
