Little League World Series!
Well folks! After weeks of competition, the finals of the Little League Baseball World Series have been set as Chinese Taipei representing the Asia-Pacific Region will meet Summerlin South LL who represents the Mountain Region on Sunday to crown the 2025 Little League World Series Champions.
It is no secret how much I love the game of baseball and every single Summer I look forward to the College World Series at the beginning and now the Little League World Series which I always used as the signal of the end of Summer.
It is crazy to think that this special event is approaching 80 years old as it began in 1947. It originally was just for teams in the US but has become a global event.
Which is one of the reasons as to why I enjoy watching the Little League World Series. Seeing the kids play the great game of baseball from multiple different countries is such a beautiful thing that should never be taken for granted. Baseball in my humble opinion is a way that brings us all closer together and I think it is extremely important for all these kids to learn about different cultures and show that we all have a lot more in common than we even realize.
What is also crazy for me to think, is how many people who have competed in the Little League World Series have competed in Major League Baseball. Some have played as far back as the 1960s all the way to today. For example, current New York Yankee Cody Bellinger played in the tournament, not only did he play, but his team won the 2007 Little League World Series.
In fact, several of those kids have become professional athletes in different sports whether it be football, basketball, hockey and even auto racing.
Best of luck to both Summerlin South and Chinese-Taipei as the LLWS Championship game will on ABC at 3 p.m. August 24.
And more importantly, be there and support the kids! I hope and pray for everyone there to have a great time!
Until Next Time!
God Bless and Be Safe Everybody! 🙏🙏🙏
