Captain America (Comic Book Character)
Well, what better way to celebrate the fourth of July, than talking about a comic book character 😁. The man himself, Captain America!
Captain America was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby and was released to the masses on December 20, 1940, nearly 65 years ago. 😮
The story follows Steve Rogers a frail man who was enhanced to peak physical condition thanks to a special super soldier serum after joining the US Military during World War 2.
Once completing his transformation, Rogers would don the red, white and blue suit, was given a virtually indestructible shield made from vibranium and his sidekick Bucky Barnes. Together they joined the fight against the evil Red Skull and the rest of the AXIS powers.
Obviously, the character was created to help fund the efforts of the Allies during WWII where the world was literally was in total chaos. But it also taught the future generation at the time about having values even in a war torn society.
And that was one of the reason why I like the Captain America character so much. Cap cares for other, he does his very best to help those in need and to better society as a whole even when he made his return to the modern times and was completely different than the one he once lived in.
Another reason why I love Captain America, was that he was once a fragile human being and was constantly rejected several times from the army but continued to find a way to help anyway he can before being selected for the super soldier experiment. And even though he became super human, he remained humbled, he didn't let the powers go to his head, Steve continued to showcase the good side of humanity.
Captain America has been in numerous comic books, video games, movies, cartoons, TV shows, etc. But I must say that Chris Evans has done an incredible job as Captain America. He really nailed that character so well. Shout Out to Chris Evans!
Hope that Captain America will always bring hope to us all!
Until Next Time!
God Bless and Be Safe Everybody! 🙏🙏🙏
