The Wacky Adventures Of Josh And Chad: Clifton 5 Theater The Accountant 2 (Movie Review)
Well my twin and I decided to head back to the Clifton 5 theater to once again check out another movie. This time we went to go see The Accountant 2 which stars Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal.
As the title implies, this movie is a sequel to the original film which debut back in 2016, nearly ten years ago. J.K. Simmons along with Cynthia Addai-Robinson have returned from the previous film and the cast was joined by Daniella Pineda.
After getting some snacks and a drink, myself and Chad headed inside, found our seats, kicked back and let the camera roll.
Without trying to spoil anything, the plot follows Christian Wolff (Affleck) along with his brother Bronson (Bernthal) and Medina (Addai-Robinson) as they uncover a plot following the assassination of a colleague that leads them down a very dark path of corruption.
Overall, I really enjoyed the film, although I must say, it took a little bit of time for me to get into the movie. Mainly was I didn't really care much for the introduction they had for Affleck's character. But like they always say, patience is a virtue and it certainly paid off as the movie went along.
Personally, I really enjoyed the interactions between Affleck and Bernthal. They may not be real life brothers, but it sure felt like it. To be honest, seeing how they were around each other got me a bit emotional, mainly because it reminds me with my brothers.
I also really loved the mystery plot surrounding the character Anais who is played by Pineda and Addai-Robinson was really fun to watch as well. Justine was also a pretty cool character.
The fight scenes were incredible to watch especially the one scene where they were in the Cowboy bar. Still makes me laugh thinking about it lol. But again, I will try not to spoil anything for people who haven't seen it yet.
This was certainly an enjoyable movie and I appreciate the work the people who put it together. I give it a score of 7.5 out of 10.
Check it out!
Until Next Time!
God Bless and Be Safe Everybody! 🙏🙏🙏
