Mother's Day Experience: Interview With Christine Yoder!

This interview is a little personal for me as it involves family. We are a day away from Mother's Day and today I got to talk with my sister-in-law, Christine. She is the mother of my nephew Luke and soon to be niece. Get to know her personal experiences as a mother. Hope you all enjoy!

JY: Was being mom something that you have always wanted to do?

CMY: Yes! I always imagined I'd become a mom one day. It was something I truly looked forward to.

JY: What was going through your head when you were told that you were becoming a mother?

CMY: Well, I wasn't exactly "told"-when you take a pregnancy test, you're kind of telling yourself. The test confirms what you already suspect. But seeing the positive result was overwhelming-in the best way. I felt a mix of excitement and amazement.

JY: Were there any concerns at first?

CMY: Yes! What would my husband think? 😂

JY: What was like seeing your child for the first time?

CMY: It was relieving. I knew the hard part of labor was behind me and I was just so happy to have a break and get to snuggle with my little guy. It's a very surreal moment in time that just doesn't seem real when it's happening.

JY: What do you love most about being a mom?

CMY: It's hard to choose just one thing! Making my son smile is incredibly special. I also love teaching him new things and watching him experience the world for the first time. Seeing those "lightbulb"moments is so rewarding. Sharing memories, watching him grow and change-It's all amazing.

JY: Any advice to any young mothers or someone who is wanting to become a mother?

CMY: Being present is more important than anything you can buy. Kids don't need fancy stuff-they just want you. Your love, your time, and your attention matter most. The more time you can spend with them, the better.

There you have it folks! That was my interview with Christine! I would like to thank her for taking the time to answer my questions and I pray that herself, my older brother Cody, son Lukey, and future niece a very happy and healthy life.

Until Next Time!

God Bless and Be Safe Everybody! 🙏🙏🙏
