The Wacky Adventures Of Josh And Chad: Return To Big Valley Antique Center!

 Well it had been quite a while since my twin brother Chad and I got ourselves some comic books and so we decided to back to Milroy and visit the Big Valley Antique Center.

As always, it is fun to go and check out all of the cool stuff that is there whether it be sports memorabilia which there was plenty of. Most of the sports were signed helmets, jerseys, etc from different athletes from variety of different sports, but it is mostly Penn State memorabilia.

It never stops amazing me with how much that Big Valley has in terms of historic stuff. Getting to see what people had to use whether it be for business or just general use really makes me appreciate things and also incredible to see how far we have come on so many things.

But back to why we came there in the first place, COMIC BOOKS! The last time we went there we definitely scored big and today was no different. Last time I had plenty of Daredevil and Punisher comics along with a few independent ones.

What is better than having Daredevil comics, more Daredevil comics 😂. One of my favorite finds was one from one of my favorite writers Frank Miller and his series Daredevil A Man Without Fear. I managed to find issue number five of the series which featured him in his yellow suit. I even found one where Daredevil met Wolverine which I honestly didn't realize that they had met before so I am excited to read that one.

I even found a pair of comics of a character that I had never heard of but thought was cool and that was Priest. This is a character that was created by a company called Maximum Press, can't wait to read that one too.

Also, I found a bit of a funny comic, I found it funny because it was a James Bond comic. Who would have thought that I would be getting a James Bond comic but yet here we are lol.

I am hoping to reach out and get more comics in the future, but until then, me and Chad will just have to enjoy our current stash of treasure.

 Well, with me trying to become more positive about myself, I have been looking back into the past and find ways to let go of some of the negative emotions attached to it. The Wacky Adventures Of Joshua and Chad: McVeytown Eagles Championship Parade!

Well tonight was a pretty special night down here in McVeytown as Chad and I along with many other people who live here in McVeytown all came together to celebrate a special accomplishment. And that was how all three of the McVeytown Eagles teams made it to the CKYFL championship games. Winning in both the Peewee and Midget divisions and placing second in the Mighty Mights. Stuff like this doesn't happen often in such a small town where I live so to see these kids have the time of their lives during the parade was certainly a sight to see. One of the things I love about covering sports is when I see kids learn, work hard and turn it into success. And these kids were learning a lot throughout the season and watching them grow and not only become better football players, but better people as well.  Which is why I have really enjoyed covering the CKYFL these last few years for Hometown Sports. The 2005 Lewistown Panthers Football Team!

 I recently completed reading my story for Hometown Sports Magazine about the 2005 Lewistown Panthers football team who finally ended a thirty years of losing seasons. In this blog, I wanted to talk about why I wanted to write about this team and how I feel the lessons that were learned about them throughout the year can still be used today.  One of the biggest reasons as to why I wanted to write about this team was because of how much of team these guys were both on and off the field. These guys have played the game of football together for a number of years and it clearly showed. Plus being a youngster, I really didn't know the history of Lewistown Panthers football.
