The Wacky Adventures Of Josh And Chad: Super Bowl Party

 Well it is official, the Philadelphia Eagles are the Super Bowl champions! It was pretty much a blow out the whole game. But again, the Eagles came out on top over the Kansas City Chiefs by the final score of 40-22 this past Sunday night.

But I would also like to thank my friend Stephon and his family for allowing me and Chad to come down to their house and watch some football.

This was kind of a unique thing for me and Chad because we never really been to a Super Bowl party before and it was quite an experience.

First off, I would like to say thank you to Stephon and his family for allowing Chad and to come over and enjoyed the game. Plenty of pizza, french fries and chips.

It was fun for me to watch the game because it didn't really matter who won the Super Bowl because I didn't have a favorite team, but I must say, I really did enjoy watching Stephon, his dad and our friend Presto, all of which are die-hard Eagles fan react to the game.

I must say though I wasn't expecting the game to be a blowout the way it did especially in the first half where the Eagles held the Chiefs to zero point for the whole half was incredible. The Philly defense certainly came to play and made life miserable for Mahomes and the Kansas City offense.

To be fair though, the Eagles' defense had really stepped up throughout the playoffs and one of the players on that defense Zack Baun was one of my favorite players to watch during the playoffs and he certainly made his presence felt throughout the game.

And of course, getting to see Saquon Barkley walk away with a Super Bowl ring was truly amazing to see. Barkley in my humble opinion, is the kind of player who people should inspire to be like so God Bless you Barkley, congrats on the win and a perfect way to celebrate your birthday.

Well, the season maybe over, but there is still plenty of football to come with the UFL, the NFL combine and then NFL draft so before we all know it, the new season will be upon us.

Thank you again to my friend Stephon for inviting us over to his house and we had a fun time. It is really fun to be able to go out and actually be around people. As Chad and I continue to be more open to other people and try to be more interactive.

The Wacky Adventures Of Joshua and Chad: McVeytown Eagles Championship Parade!

Well tonight was a pretty special night down here in McVeytown as Chad and I along with many other people who live here in McVeytown all came together to celebrate a special accomplishment. And that was how all three of the McVeytown Eagles teams made it to the CKYFL championship games. Winning in both the Peewee and Midget divisions and placing second in the Mighty Mights. Stuff like this doesn't happen often in such a small town where I live so to see these kids have the time of their lives during the parade was certainly a sight to see. One of the things I love about covering sports is when I see kids learn, work hard and turn it into success. And these kids were learning a lot throughout the season and watching them grow and not only become better football players, but better people as well.  Which is why I have really enjoyed covering the CKYFL these last few years for Hometown Sports. The 2005 Lewistown Panthers Football Team!

 I recently completed reading my story for Hometown Sports Magazine about the 2005 Lewistown Panthers football team who finally ended a thirty years of losing seasons. In this blog, I wanted to talk about why I wanted to write about this team and how I feel the lessons that were learned about them throughout the year can still be used today.  One of the biggest reasons as to why I wanted to write about this team was because of how much of team these guys were both on and off the field. These guys have played the game of football together for a number of years and it clearly showed. Plus being a youngster, I really didn't know the history of Lewistown Panthers football.
