Super Bowl Preview! Who You Got?

 Well everyone, the big game is finally set, week and week, many teams came into the season dreaming about hoisting the Lombardi Trophy. Sadly, there can only be one team that will be able to achieve that dream. 

It will either be, the Philadelphia Eagles, who are looking to win another Super Bowl title since 2017 after a complete thrashing of NFC East rivals Washington 55-23 in the NFC Conference championship game. Or will it be the Kansas City Chiefs who are chasing history as they are looking to win three straight Super Bowls. The Chiefs are coming off a victory over the Bills 32-29 in the AFC title game.

I must say, this will be a very interesting game to say the least because I myself do not have a favorite pro team, I just love football. And to be perfectly honest with all of you, it really doesn't matter to me who wins this coming Super Bowl.

Personally I think it be cool for the Kansas City Chiefs to win three straight, I have a ton of respect for people like Andy Reid who in my humble opinion, is one of the greatest coaches in football history. So to see him win it would be very cool to see.

On the flip side of things, I would not have an issue with the Eagles winning it either. And that is for one very big reason. Saquon Barkley! I am a huge fan of Barkley not only as a player, but as a human being and in my humble opinion, sets a great example for many of the younger football players out there. I mean the guy with through a lot of chaos while playing for the New York Giants and to see him reach 2000 yards his first year with Philly, which is a rare feat to happen since everyone is so pass happy now. But nonetheless, it is an amazing feat and I would really love to see him cap it off with a Super Bowl ring.

But atlas, we will all have to wait until Feb. 9 to see who will come out on top.

The Wacky Adventures Of Joshua and Chad: McVeytown Eagles Championship Parade!

Well tonight was a pretty special night down here in McVeytown as Chad and I along with many other people who live here in McVeytown all came together to celebrate a special accomplishment. And that was how all three of the McVeytown Eagles teams made it to the CKYFL championship games. Winning in both the Peewee and Midget divisions and placing second in the Mighty Mights. Stuff like this doesn't happen often in such a small town where I live so to see these kids have the time of their lives during the parade was certainly a sight to see. One of the things I love about covering sports is when I see kids learn, work hard and turn it into success. And these kids were learning a lot throughout the season and watching them grow and not only become better football players, but better people as well.  Which is why I have really enjoyed covering the CKYFL these last few years for Hometown Sports. Nick Dickson

 Recently, I had found out that a family friend of ours named Nick Dickson had a stroke and people have been doing what they can to support him and his family. Nick is a local mechanic who has been serving this community for many, many years and has always been a generous, hard worker and honorable person at the Dickson's Garage along with his father Ken. He and his father are also local racing legends around here in Mifflin County having raced for a couple generations now. Nick and his family have always been honest with me and my family and has helped take care of our vehicles for many years. They are amazing,  hardworking people who now need our help. And according to the go fund me page that was set up by Andrea Baker and Valeri Thornburgh. The doctors had told his family that it will take months at minimum for him to be able to recover and will not be able to work for the foreseeable future.
