25 Days Of Christmas!

 Well today officially starts one of my favorite times of the year and that is getting to see some great Christmas specials and shows during the 25 days of Christmas which will be featuring on the TV channel Freeform.

Despite my annoyance with cold weather, getting to watch some great holiday classics has always been a great way to stay warm and be with loved ones. 

This annual event first started back in 1996 for the Family Channel before moving on to several other channels ever since.

I always enjoy getting me some Christmas cookies, some warm hot chocolate and sitting down and watching such amazing classics like Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, A Year Without A Santa Claus, Garfield Christmas special, Little Drummer Boy, and so much more.

Also can't go wrong with such great movies like the Home Alone movies, Three Days, The Santa Claus movies, The Christmas Carol and The Christmas Story.

My personal favorites are How the Grinch Stole Christmas and I loved watching the Nightmare Before Christmas.

But I truly love about the 25 days of Christmas is how we are counting down to Christmas itself. Can never go wrong with celebrating Jesus!

But I would also like for everyone to be able to come together and help create peace here on Earth. Because the world itself has just gone mad and hateful. 

I just want to say that I love you all and that I pray that we all will have our happiness and that this Christmas, we will all find peace.

Well tonight was a pretty special night down here in McVeytown as Chad and I along with many other people who live here in McVeytown all came together to celebrate a special accomplishment. And that was how all three of the McVeytown Eagles teams made it to the CKYFL championship games. Winning in both the Peewee and Midget divisions and placing second in the Mighty Mights. Stuff like this doesn't happen often in such a small town where I live so to see these kids have the time of their lives during the parade was certainly a sight to see. One of the things I love about covering sports is when I see kids learn, work hard and turn it into success. What's going on? Being honest with ourselves!

 I don't like to cause any problems with anybody but there have been a lot of things that I been wanting to get off my chest for a very long time now. And that is in my humble opinion people don't seem to want to be honest about really anything anymore. Now, I could be just a little paranoid, maybe my anxiety is getting the best of me or whatever. But as time has past I have been getting a weird feeling all over me. You see, I just feel as though people no one is really being honest with each other, themselves or to God anymore. I wish I could describe it better but it has been a concern of mine for quite a long time now and I feel like it is getting worse. Nick Dickson

 Recently, I had found out that a family friend of ours named Nick Dickson had a stroke and people have been doing what they can to support him and his family. Nick is a local mechanic who has been serving this community for many, many years and has always been a generous, hard worker and honorable person at the Dickson's Garage along with his father Ken. He and his father are also local racing legends around here in Mifflin County having raced for a couple generations now. Nick and his family have always been honest with me and my family and has helped take care of our vehicles for many years. They are amazing,  hardworking people who now need our help. And according to the go fund me page that was set up by Andrea Baker and Valeri Thornburgh. The doctors had told his family that it will take months at minimum for him to be able to recover and will not be able to work for the foreseeable future.
