Skillet: Victorious

  I just recently enjoyed listening to an old album from the Christian metal Skillet called Victorious. It was their tenth album which was released in the summer of 2019.

What I like about the album was that it played with every emotion in me. From the first song to the last, it had me going as I was driving my way to work.

A fun fact, the first song on the album Legendary was used as a theme song for the WWE’s flagship show Monday Night Raw.

John Cooper’s vocals on every song was incredible. I felt like I was on a spiritual journey and that each song was like a chapter in a book.

The song that was the namesake of the album Victorious, was a very beautiful song. I also really enjoyed listening to the song Terrify the Dark. It made me feel empowered and that no matter what obstacles I face, I can get through it.

Another song I really loved listening to was Save Me. I could totally relate to it because of my constant battle with depression and anxiety. To be honest, it kinda brings a tear to my eyes because I often find myself always questioning myself about pretty much everything. 

I highly recommend this album to anyone and I hope and pray that this album will bring you happiness like it did me.

The Wacky Adventures Of Joshua and Chad: McVeytown Eagles Championship Parade!

Well tonight was a pretty special night down here in McVeytown as Chad and I along with many other people who live here in McVeytown all came together to celebrate a special accomplishment. And that was how all three of the McVeytown Eagles teams made it to the CKYFL championship games. Winning in both the Peewee and Midget divisions and placing second in the Mighty Mights. Stuff like this doesn't happen often in such a small town where I live so to see these kids have the time of their lives during the parade was certainly a sight to see. One of the things I love about covering sports is when I see kids learn, work hard and turn it into success. And these kids were learning a lot throughout the season and watching them grow and not only become better football players, but better people as well.  Which is why I have really enjoyed covering the CKYFL these last few years for Hometown Sports. What's going on? Being honest with ourselves!

 I don't like to cause any problems with anybody but there have been a lot of things that I been wanting to get off my chest for a very long time now. And that is in my humble opinion people don't seem to want to be honest about really anything anymore. Now, I could be just a little paranoid, maybe my anxiety is getting the best of me or whatever. But as time has past I have been getting a weird feeling all over me. You see, I just feel as though people no one is really being honest with each other, themselves or to God anymore. I wish I could describe it better but it has been a concern of mine for quite a long time now and I feel like it is getting worse.
