The Wacky Adventures Of Josh And Chad: Meeting Baby Ava!

Well folks, 2026 is finally underway, a new year, a new start and it was already full of surprises as myself and my twin brother Chad were giving a surprise. Our older brother Cody, his lovely wife Christine along with our little nephew Luke came down from Long Island to celebrate New Years with us. It also meant one other thing, it was the first time that me and Chad got to meet in person, our baby niece Ava!

Now sadly, me and Chad were not able to see little Ava after she was born due to my parents having to take care of my Dad's doctors appointment before making it to New York. Honestly, it sucked because I was hoping to get away for a little while, but I understood why.

Unfortunately, last week got pretty cold here in PA, so I was little nervous about them coming because I didn't want the kids to be freezing. But either way, I was totally excited yet anxious to see them.

As we saw them come pulling into the drove way, Chad and I stormed out of the house to greet them as well as help them get their things into the house because again, it was freezing outside lol.

When we got to their vehicle, Lukey got out and quickly asked for Grandma. He got so excited when she came outside that he ran right up to her and gave her a massive hug. I also loved how he was trying to be careful around Grandma as she was still recovering from her foot surgery.

Finally, there she was, little Ava, all cozy up in her carrier. Her beautiful blue eyes staring right at me as if she was trying to say hello Uncle Josh. Honestly, much like when I first saw Luke, I was happy but scared all at the same time. I quickly began to wonder what this little blessing was thinking when she saw me. Would she like me? Would I be someone she could look up? Could I even express how much I love and care for her?

To no one's surprise, I had a tough time trying to communicate with them. But I got to see my little nephew draw with Grandpa and watch funny videos with Grandma. Ava was just talking away with anyone who was listening lol.

It certainly was a great way to celebrate and begin the new year with them, even when I struggled mentally. One of my favorite moments with Ava exactly came when one night, she was struggling to sleep. Don't ask me why, I just thought it was cute seeing Cody and Christine trying to help Ava fall asleep and it was fun to see Ava fall asleep again.

Another one of my personal favorite moments with Lukey and Ava was when it was their last night before they went home and I was little frustrated that I didn't really spend much time with them the way I was hoping. Suddenly, I had an idea, much like my nephew, I too enjoy painting, writing, drawing, so I decided to go out and draw and little goodbye drawing for them. I hope and pray that they loved it.

With that being said, I pray for both of them, I really want them to know that I love them both dearly. I wish I wasn't so anxious, but I don't like for the two of them to see me like that.

It was so sweet to finally get to meet you baby Ava! And same to you too Luke, I love you two more than I may even be able to explain. Please forgive me, I hope and pray one day you will understand.

And to Cody and Christine, I love you as well! And I pray that 2026 will be a blessing for you two and one day, we can all be able to live our dreams.

Happy New Year to all of you!

Until Next Time!

God Bless and Be Safe Everybody! 🙏🙏🙏
