The Wacky Adventures Of Josh And Chad: Kountry Kitchen Christmas/New Year Party 2025!

 With the New Year slowly coming upon us, my twin and I went down to the Kountry Kitchen where Chad works and got to enjoy ourselves with the rest of his co-workers at the diner for a little party.

I don't get to see some of Chad's friends to often, but when I do, it is always a good time and the other night was no different.

Getting to see great people like Amanda and her husband Doug Boozel along with Paul and Lisa. Bri and Amanda were also there along with many others.

Of course, my personal favorite moments was just getting to see my twin brother smile and be happy. Which doesn't happen much mainly because of our struggles mentally and being so social awkward. But nonetheless, I was excited to see him having a good time.

The food was fantastic, plenty of games being played and lots of laughs. There was even a surprise battle where they started throwing marshmellows at one another. Talk about being a kid at heart lol.

It was nights like this, that remind me that sometimes, it is just nice to sit back and enjoy the little things and appreciate the people around you. 2025 may have been an up and down year for me, but stuff like this is God's way of telling me that there is always hope.

Thank you so much to Amanda and company for letting me and my twin come down and enjoy ourselves with again, great food, lots of laughs and importantly, hope.

The 2005 Lewistown Panthers Football Team!

 I recently completed reading my story for Hometown Sports Magazine about the 2005 Lewistown Panthers football team who finally ended a thirty years of losing seasons. In this blog, I wanted to talk about why I wanted to write about this team and how I feel the lessons that were learned about them throughout the year can still be used today.  One of the biggest reasons as to why I wanted to write about this team was because of how much of team these guys were both on and off the field. These guys have played the game of football together for a number of years and it clearly showed. Plus being a youngster, I really didn't know the history of Lewistown Panthers football. I only remember going to games because I remember my cousins playing on the team. But talking about the football team in general, to put it nicely, there wasn't a lot of success. Congrats To Trent Hidlay! (World Champion)

 Although, it has become common knowledge, by many of us who live in Mifflin County. But former Huskies' great Trent Hidlay pulled off an incredible comeback and became the 2025 World Wrestling Champion in Croatia at 92 kg. After being down 10-2, Hidlay powered his way back to defeat Amanula Gadzhimagomedov 13-10 to win the World's Gold Medal. This is such an inspirational story that needs to be told because stuff like this does not happen very often, especially in a small community like Mifflin County.  To me, the story of Trent is all about never giving up and continuing to push forward as well as hard work and dedication.
