The Wacky Adventures Of Josh And Chad: Shining Light Through The Darkness! Kish Park
WOW! It just felt so nice to just get away from a lot of stress of life and just go and enjoy myself. The other night, my twin brother Chad and I decided to head down to Kish park where they were having their annual event, Shining Light through the Darkness walk through.
For those of you who do not know, this event is brought to you by Shining Light which is a non-profit, mission outreach, all volunteer organization who's goal is to spread the Light of Jesus Christ and the meaning of the Christmas season through many displays of amazing lights and other decorations.
I have been going to this event since I was a little kid. What I love the most about going to walk around and check out the beautiful designs though out the park.
I've always appreciated the amount of time and effort that these volunteers make each and every year. Seeing all of this beautiful artwork being displayed all over the park always brings a smile to my face.
Not going to lie, 2025 has been rough, a lot of things I have been struggling with, a lot of things been stressing me out and getting on my nerves. But that is a story for another time.
Getting back to the event, Chad and I arrived and it was completely packed. Which was really cool to see. Just a whole bunch of different people, from all walks of life coming together and just having a great time.
There was the classic train display going on as well as hot chocolate and delicious treats. Also some performances happen during the few weeks the event happens.
By the end of our little trip we decided to stop by our local Giant store and pick up some Egg Nog milk because why not lol it is that time of year.
On a more serious note, I really recommend to all of you no matter where you are in this world, go out and enjoy little things such as these because you don't always have to have all this big fancy stuff. As cool as it may seem, sometimes the biggest enjoyment in life come from the little things. Though I am struggling, just simply walking around a park and enjoying the beauty of the event, can really make a difference in keeping my mind from falling back to that dark place.
Basically what I am trying to say, is don't take the little stuff for granted.
Love you all!
Until Next Time!
God Bless and Be Safe Everybody! 🙏🙏🙏
