Mother's Day Experience: Interview With Madeline Tressler
Hello again everybody! I have returned with another fun interview with mothers who are sharing their experiences as a mom as we prepare for Mother's Day. Today! I got to interview someone who it feels like I have known for some time now. Her name Madeline Tressler and she is the mother of three wonderful children. Hope you all enjoy the interview!
JY: Was being mom something that you have always wanted to do?
ML: Honestly, I did not contemplate it very much growing up. However, when I did become a mother, it quickly turned into the most meaningful part of my life.
JY: What was going through your head when you were told that you were becoming a mother?
ML: I had my first child when I was 22, so I was quite young and naive! Naturally, like most first time parents, I was very nervous and apprehensive. No matter how many baby books you read or how much advice you hear from others, nothing quite prepares you for becoming a parent. But most of all, I felt very fortunate to be blessed with a child.
JY: Were there any concerns at first?
ML: Yes! There are so many unknowns. I really had no idea what my life would look like with a child. Would my relationship with my spouse be affected? Could we financially afford a child/children? Was I even capable of becoming a full-time stay at home mom? What would that life look like? I was also concerned that I'd possibly lose my identity, as so often happens for mothers.
JY: What was like seeing your child for the first time?
ML: That moment was indescribably blissful. Every single ounce of pain and discomfort seemed to completely melt away and all that was left was the love I had for the baby. This was the best moment of my life, and I was blessed to experience it three times.
JY: What do you love most about being a mom?
ML: Being blessed with the opportunity to love and nurture my children unconditionally is what I love most about being a mom. The fact that they love you back unconditionally is the biggest blessing. There's just something about nurturing, teaching, and loving someone so completely that is so fulfilling.
JY: Any advice to any young mothers or someone who is wanting to become a mother?
ML: Trust yourself; There will be so many voices, opinions, advice, expectations-but at the end of the day, you know your child better than anyone else. Don't be afraid to follow your instincts. Also don't be too hard on yourself; You're going to have tough days, and that's okay. No one is perfect. Give yourself grace and ask for help when you need it. And don't forget to take care of yourself-you can't pour from an empty cup.
And that was my Mother's Day interview with Madeline Tressler. I personally would like to thank her for taking the time to answer my questions. I hope and pray nothing but the best for her and her family.
Until Next Time!
God Bless and Be Safe Everybody! 🙏🙏🙏
