Vincent Price

Crazy to think that this incredible actor is no longer with us and it has nearly been 35 years since the passing of Vincent Price back in 1993.

Now in fairness, I only remember seeing Mr. Price perform in a few things like the 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo, Edwards Scissorhands and also he was the narrator in the music video for Michael Jackson's song Thriller. Also I didn't even realize that he was in the Ten Commandments movie too.

But as I started researching him, I discovered that he had such a big time career in movies. Now it is no secret that I do enjoy a good gothic horror story and Price certainly fits that bill. Having been in plenty of movies and television shows, primary in the role of a Villain, and great one at that.

Of course Vincent Price was waaayyy a head of my time. So I am very limited in what I was able to find. And what I did find, was amazing.

Researching his career, I saw that he was featured in films based on one of my favorite writers as well as many other people ins Edgar Allan Poe. Stories like The Masque Of The Red Death, House of Usher, The Haunted Palace, The Pit and The Pendulum. Heck! He was even in the 1966 Batman series a Egghead.

Now those are just a few movies that he did. In fact, Vincent Price had been in over 100 films. To be perfectly honest, I really wish I could find more than clips of his performances on the internet. Price's ability to play a villain is incredible. So dark and scary and more importantly believable.

You don't really villains like the ones he played anymore in movies that is for sure. Kind of makes me a little jealous of the people who came before me who got to witness such a talented actor.

As mentioned earlier, one of the shows I remember seeing of Price, was when my parents introduced me to Scooby Doo. And one of those series was the 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo. I loved his performance as Vincent Van Ghoul.

Maybe I should try and find some full movies of Vincent Price and review them some day. God Bless Mr. Price, I pray that you are resting peacefully.

Until Next Time!

God Bless and Be Safe!🙏🙏🙏
