The Wacky Adventures Of Josh And Chad: Kountry Kitchen Christmas Party

 Now, I know what you are all thinking right now. How could it possibly be a Christmas party in January? Well unfortunately the wonderful people of Kountry Kitchen were unable to have a Christmas party last year due to being quite busy. But decided to celebrate it today.

You may also be wondering, what is the Kountry Kitchen? Well it is a lovely little diner where I am from and it is also the work place on my twin brother Chad. Chadman has been associated with them for many years now and they have helped him out in a lot of ways.

My twin and I struggle with connecting with people throughout our lives but, these guys have always been there to support my twin. So when Chad had asked me to come along with him to the party, I was happy to go and support him.

And honestly, Chad looked extremely happy to be there throughout the night. There was plenty of fun Christmas theme games being played, I got to sit down and chat it up with several of Chad's co-workers.

But the best part of the night, was just seeing how happy Chad is with the people of Kountry Kitchen. He was interacting with everyone, he was playing games, laughing which honestly, is a rare thing for us and it made me pretty emotional seeing how happy he was.

Which was nice to have because moments like these don't seem to happen much nowadays. But when they do, Chad and I are extremely grateful for them and to Amanda, Doug, Paul, Lisa and the rest of the Kountry Kitchen crew, thank you all so much for an incredible night.

Well tonight was a pretty special night down here in McVeytown as Chad and I along with many other people who live here in McVeytown all came together to celebrate a special accomplishment. And that was how all three of the McVeytown Eagles teams made it to the CKYFL championship games. Winning in both the Peewee and Midget divisions and placing second in the Mighty Mights. Stuff like this doesn't happen often in such a small town where I live so to see these kids have the time of their lives during the parade was certainly a sight to see. One of the things I love about covering sports is when I see kids learn, work hard and turn it into success. What's going on? Being honest with ourselves!

 I don't like to cause any problems with anybody but there have been a lot of things that I been wanting to get off my chest for a very long time now. And that is in my humble opinion people don't seem to want to be honest about really anything anymore. Now, I could be just a little paranoid, maybe my anxiety is getting the best of me or whatever. But as time has past I have been getting a weird feeling all over me. You see, I just feel as though people no one is really being honest with each other, themselves or to God anymore. I wish I could describe it better but it has been a concern of mine for quite a long time now and I feel like it is getting worse. People would always say things to me like, Josh it is just a different time. But honestly, I think that is just a lame excuse. Nick Dickson

 Recently, I had found out that a family friend of ours named Nick Dickson had a stroke and people have been doing what they can to support him and his family. Nick is a local mechanic who has been serving this community for many, many years and has always been a generous, hard worker and honorable person at the Dickson's Garage along with his father Ken. He and his father are also local racing legends around here in Mifflin County having raced for a couple generations now. Nick and his family have always been honest with me and my family and has helped take care of our vehicles for many years. They are amazing,  hardworking people who now need our help. And according to the go fund me page that was set up by Andrea Baker and Valeri Thornburgh. The doctors had told his family that it will take months at minimum for him to be able to recover and will not be able to work for the foreseeable future.
