My Mentor, My Friend, Brian Carson!

You know, many of us during the Christmas season often ask and wish for that special present or that special moment to get what we always wanted. Sadly in this world we do not always get what we want. But there is one thing that I really hope to get, and it ain't for me, it is for someone else. Someone who I consider a great Mentor and more importantly, a true friend. And is his name is Brian Carson.

You see, Carson has been dealing with a lot of health issues these recent years and has been struggling. And to say that I am worried about him is an incredible understatement.

I first met Carson a little over 10 years ago when I first started covering sports. My first impression of him was a nice guy and crazy sense of humor and that he loves the Rams.

But say what you will about him, he was always there to help. And more I got to see him, the more I realized that.

He and his humor were never a bore, honestly it helped brighten some of the most darkest days in my life. I honestly wished I had his confidence and his wit and the ability to not worry about what other people thought of him.

I can't  say enough about how much he has helped me writing wise. And I am not just talking about sports writing, I mean writing in general and how it can help change the world and the people in it. I can honestly say for a FACT that if it weren't for Carson, I don't where I be in life in general, I certainly wouldn't have been able to write my poems and even launched my first ever book on Amazon or just write stories and books in general.

I can never put it into words how much Carson has meant in my life and how is still there for me and others despite his ongoing health issues.

And that is where I am trying to get at with this blog post. What I want for Christmas is for Carson to be able to be well again. While many of us will be with loved ones drinking hot chocolate, eating Christmas cookies and being around a warm fire. Carson getting cared for at a hospital.

The point I am trying to make is, let us all come together and be thankful for what we have and the people we have in our lives. Because we will never know when we will lose them or be taken away from them.

My thoughts and my prayers are to you Carson, your lovely wife Maria and the rest of your family. I pray that my Christmas wish comes true because if anyone deserves to be happy, it is you Carson. Love ya big guy!

Until Next Time!

God Bless and Be Safe Everybody! 🙏🙏🙏
