Goldfinger (James Bond Film)

Back in 1964, the world was introduced to one of the best James Ford movies ever in my humble opinion and it was Goldfinger. It is crazy to think that this film is 60 years old!

This movie was based off the book of the same name which was written by the Ian Fleming. The books was originally written all the way back in 1959.

This was the third installment of the James Bond movie franchise and it was on a budget of 3 million dollars, which would be consider a cheap movie nowadays 😄. But holy crap did it ever score big in the box office because it made a grand total of 125 million dollars 😮.

I mean, it really isn't surprising because the movie was amazing! The storyline of the film involves 007 being sent to stop a criminal named Auric Goldfinger who was attempting the contaminate the gold at Fort Knox.

Sean Connery returns as the great James Bond and once again does an incredible job in the this movie. Gert Frobe as the main villain of the story aka Goldfinger was honestly one of my personal favorite villains in James Bond history.

As always, I never get tired of hearing the phrase, Do you expect me to talk? No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die! Never gets old!

Honor Blackman also did an amazing job as the main Bond girl in movie. But also I got to give a lot of love to Harold Sakata who played the silent but deadly Oddjob who can get use his own hat to kill people.

As with many Bond films throughout the years, the movie intro has become such a major part of the franchise and I truly love listening to the title track Goldfinger which was performed by Shirley Bassey who did an incredible job singing it. I still listen to it this very day.

One of the most iconic moments and it still brings me chills is seeing Shirley Eaton who played Jill Masterson was killed and her body was covered in gold.

Again, it really crazy to me because this was 60 years ago! I mean, it just shows the passion and effort that everybody put into this film. From the actors, director, crew, etc, you can really tell of how much energy they put into this film. And the fact that many of us can watch over and over again just shows how much of a classic it is.

Until Next Time!

God Bless and Be Safe Everyone! 🙏🙏🙏
