Batman Arkham City

One of my personal favorite video games of all time and certainly one of the best displays of the Cape Crusader himself. And that game is Batman Arkham City.

This game first came out on October 18. 2011 so 13 years ago and I played it on my Xbox 360. This game was a sequel to the Batman Arkham Asylum game which I will probably talk about a later time lol. Not nonetheless, this game makes me love to be a storytelling and I really would love to be able to become a writer that is good as Paul Dini who was one of the writers for the game and was famous for the Batman the Animated Series back in the early 90s.

The story begins with Bruce Wayne was holding a press conference where he declared his opposition to the recently created Arkham City where many of the evil criminals throughout the Batman comics are being stored near Gotham City which brings possible threat to the citizens.

But before he could go any further, a mercenary group called TYGER appeared and arrested Wayne and take him to see the Warden of Arkham City named Hugo Strange. However, a fun swerve in the game was the simple fact that Strange knows that Bruce Wayne is Batman and plans on unleashing "Protocol 10" on Arkham City. And Batman must find out what Protocol 10 is and stop before it is too late.

Holy crap! I love this game so much! It is a masterpiece in every sense of the word. From the moment I started playing this game I was hooked.

One of the things I loved about the game was the open world aspect of it. Basically every single Batman villain is in this game with a few being involved in the main story of the game. Most of them were used as part of the side content. But either way, there were plenty of awesome things to do throughout the game.

Kevin Conroy (RIP) was once again the Cape Crusader himself and is joined by Mark Hamill as the Joker and Corey Burton as Hugo Strange just to name a few.

Another thing that I truly enjoyed the game is the gameplay. Surprisingly I am able to understand it and getting to be Batman himself beating down criminals was amazing! And also even on easy mode, the game itself is still challenging and you have to use your head in a lot of different situations which makes sense because you are suppose to be the World's Greatest Detective.

I do not mean to spoil the ending of the game but this was one of my favorite parts in the game because it was such a cool swerve and just was the cherry on top of already an amazing story. You see, one of the main storylines of the game was Batman having to deal with the Joker. During the previous game Arkham Asylum, Joker injected himself with the Titan venom which turned him into a monster like Bane. But now in the sequel, he has become sick and dying because of it.

However, Joker puts some of his blood in Batman which forces him to work with him in order to find a cure. Batman managed to get the cure and uses it to. But despite willing to help Joker and give him the cure as well, Joker's craziness gets the best of him and stabs Batman making him drop and break the cure of the vile and because of it, dies. At first, I didn't realize how awesome of an ending it was because as Batman carried Joker out, many of the characters thought that Batman killed Joker and I was like, Joker killed himself. And then I realized, holy crap that was amazing! And that is why Paul Dini and company are pros and I am an amateur writer. God only knows I hope and pray to be that good someday.

Overall this game in my humble opinion was a 10/10 for me. I haven't played in a while, but I constantly see others play the game on youtube and stuff and the game is still amazing.

Check it out if you haven't played it before. You will not be disappointed.

Until next time! God Bless and Be Safe everybody!🙏🙏🙏
